A Three-Week Journey Through the Recruiting Cycle

Want to cut through applicant overload, speed up your processes, and confidently use AI in your daily work? Alongside early career talent leaders from across the country, you will:

  • Learn how to prompt AI tools effectively to improve your recruitment outputs;
  • Practice applying AI across every phase of the campus recruiting cycle;
  • Build your confidence with AI by refining foundational AI knowledge;
  • Take a step-by-step walk-through of various AI use cases and build your own AI toolkit; and
  • Master and apply AI tools directly in your talent attraction, evaluation, and reporting practices.

Goal

Empower early career talent professionals to optimize their use of AI across the recruitment lifecycle, while also fostering connections with innovative peers in early talent acquisition.

Andragogy

During each session, participants will:

  • Get to see all techniques demonstrated live;
  • Practice these techniques together in small cohorts that they'll return to each week; and
  • Leave with homework to apply in their day-to-day leadership and recruiting experiences.

Outcomes

Each participant who completes the program will earn:

  • A NACE AI in Talent Acquisition Badge, Certificate of Completion, and four SHRM PDCs;
  • A ready-to-use prompt library tailored to recruiting tasks;

Program

This three-week program offers both weekly live (synchronous) group sessions (1 hr 15 mins) and asynchronous hands-on practice (1 hr):

Week 1: Attracting Candidates With AI

  • Digital Technology: Understand available AI models and how to select the right ones for recruiting tasks;
  • Communication: Craft AI-optimized job postings, emails, and employer branding materials; and
  • Critical Thinking/Problem Solving: Learn how to give AI tools effective prompts that generate high-impact, tailored content.

Week 2: Evaluating Candidates With AI

  • Professionalism/Ethics: Develop and enforce ethical AI guidelines for candidate submissions and interactions;
  • Career Management (from a recruiter lens): Assess authentic student engagement with AI tools; and
  • Leadership: Train others on your team to detect AI misuse and evaluate real-world AI fluency in candidates.

Week 3: Optimizing Your Process With AI

  • Digital Technology: Use AI for both quantitative and qualitative recruiting analytics;
  • Critical Thinking/Problem Solving: Build AI-generated dashboards to visualize and improve your recruiting data; and
  • Leadership: Create a strong ROI narrative to advocate for AI use in early talent recruiting.

Certification Credits

The National Association of Colleges and Employers is recognized by SHRM to offer Professional Development Credits (PDCs) for SHRM-CP® or SHRM-SCP® recertification activities. This program is valid for 4 SHRM PDCs. Participants who complete the full program will receive a Certificate of Completion and instructions for claiming credit.
